Actual Invoice over Estimate: What To Do?
So, I sent a client–pre-job–an estimate. At the bottom, the estimate says, “This estimate does not include billing for revisions.” I thought that was pretty clear; apparently it wasn’t. The final bill I submitted–with actual hours and timesheet–was more than the estimate by just about a third. This final bill included revisions. The client is now questioning the bill and balking; I comped several hours (almost 20!) during the project already, as I feel that overage was my responsibility; now I don’t quality like I should back down stale of the final invoice. Any advice? Since the estimate was of late that–an estimate–and it did include a disclaimer for overage… shouldn’t it be their responsibility to pay?

Am i not ambitious ample or am i underachieving already?
I am 27 i have a management scope and i am currently the manager of a fashion shop. This is not what i dreamed of doing when i be slaving away to complete the degree and as i see my staff (mostly students) finishing uni and going into ‘real jobs’ i consistency badly left aft! My parents already think im mad to work surrounded by a shop and I often feel ashamed to read out where i work. What the hell are my options? is it too belatedly to get a real mission? or do i already have a real mission? I love my shop and the girls i work with but im just worried that im noit acheiving adjectives im capable of. pls help and dont cogitate im a nut case

21 considering joining peace corps or chore core?
Hi i am a 21 year old female and i really hold no clue what i want to do with my life, but doing the receptionist post for $11 an hour is getting old and i want to do more with my duration, i want to help out people i am extremely compassionate i didn’t take my SAT and i only go out and got a esthetics license. I want more out of life and my counselor recommended me to combine peace corp or job corp, i wanted to know which would be better or lend a hand me most in the long run since i have no lessons besides a high school diploma and i live near my boyfriend and going back to live with my parents is not an selection. After the launching of my site, I had some great success with new viewers and followers.  I received a lot of email indicating our price was so low, that this could not be true.  As you see most job seeking sites for telecommuting or work at home is pretty much scams. You should never have to pay to view any jobs - according to the guidelines of the Better Business Bureau (BBB). But you still get caught with that spell bounding pitch page or just plainly the site just doesn’t LOOK like it could be scam.  I certainly have been there and done that. I must have invested so much money into these fly by night scams like stuffing envelopes, processing rebates, writing ads (only lucrative if you use PPC) and the list goes on…. You know which ones I’m talking about.  It’s the one that either works on your emotions (kick’em while their down), or promise that you can be so called rich in no time working from home. They even show you a paycheck!! Is it real? Of course not.  It is only real because the suckers like you and I bought it at one point in time! Imagine that.  Of course there is one down fall in working for yourself or becoming independent contractors on the web… You will have to either join an association to continue getting jobs or buying into marketing yourself in order to really start making a living out of it. So it is going to be hard to get around it. However you can be smart about it… After doing a bit of research, surveys and focus groups, I found that the majority of those who are now actually working from home have paid into some type of group or learning materials in order to help them succeed. The main key, “did I get my moneys worth?” How many times have you felt like after you paid your membership, logged onto the site and realized this was not what you were looking for? Again, I know that all too well.

How does the place look? Unless you are explicitly told that a place looks shabby but gives stellar results, stay away from a place which looks unprofessional. Attentive and efficient staff should be a must-have for any place you select.

Availability of the job you want.Jobs in accountancy may be temporary, contractual or permanent, apart from the various roles in the industry. Make sure that the company deals with the type of job you are seeking.

Check the small print. Always go over the terms of service of the recruitment agency. What will they do, and what do you have to do in return?

Will they help you prepare? Like B-school coaching centres, job recruitment agencies may also help you prepare for job interviews. This includes setting up your resume, rehearsing job interview questions, and so on.

Do they know the industry? A good recruitment agency will be able to let you know of the newest openings in your field. This includes news of newly vacant posts, newly created positions and so on.

Credentials. Most agencies have their certificates prominently displayed at their offices. Ask to see registration and certification before you pledge your lot with any agency.

Go with your gut. With all the pragmatic advice in mind, you may find yourself caught between two choices. In this case, it is best to go with your gut. If you have one name in your mind when you wake up in the morning, that is the one you should be going for.

Don’t expect the agency to do everything. You are, in the end, the one responsible for yourself. You will have to do a lot of legwork, as well as prepare yourself to face the job interview with elan.

Accountancy jobs are demanding as well as rewarding. Once you get a job and keep turning out consistent results, you are set for life - except in the events of economic disasters like the one we just emerged from. So keep your head down and stay focused on the job search. An agency is only one tool to help you find the one you need.
